‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 17 preview: Boss on Bobby’s return … and why

What's coming up? -Supernatural” fans, we feel like you are definitely going to want to watch tomorrow night’s “Inside Man” live. Why? Executive producer Jeremy Carver does a good job of laying it out the reasons why in the new video below.

First, this is a chance to see Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver) back on the show, and that is the sort of thing that is always worth celebrating. He’s like the honorary Winchester in Heaven! This time, he will help Castiel and Sam try to resolve a problem that has been plaguing them for some time in Dean and the Mark of Cain! Per Sam, it is getting much worse, really to the point where desperate times are calling for desperate measures. You can tell that Castiel is not entirely pleased about the idea of contacting someone in Heaven, but they don’t have many other choices at this point. Personally, we’re thrilled about this. Any opportunity that we have to see more of Bobby on the show is something we are going to celebrate. There will never be another character quite like him.

Also, Carver makes it very clear that the Dean / Rowena meeting in this episode (which, by the way, seems very violent) will forever change the relationship between Dean and Crowley. That should be fun, at least in that the more complex things become with Crowley, the more interested we are. Also, it’s connected two of the biggest storylines of the season, which is nice for us since it’s felt like despite Mark Sheppard’s promotion to regular, our favorite King of Hell has been at arm’s length.

While the past couple of episodes have been more procedural, this is one you’ll be remembering for a while. We’re going to have an interesting time seeing what the aftermath for it is.
