‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ episode 8 preview: Could Will, Rodney change the game?
Tonight’s episode of “Survivor: Worlds Apart” was all sorts of crazy, and it gave us something that is always fantastic TV: An immunity idol play that actually works. Jenn managed to save herself, and now the No Collar alliance lives to see the other date.
The only real problem here is that the No Collar alliance did effectively lose a member of their own in Will. He decided that he wanted to flip over and team up with Rodney, and going into the next episode, it seems like these two are going even more rogue than they were before. It’s a rogue squadron! The new target seems to be Mike, who Rodney pegs an “idiot” and wants to eliminate sooner rather than later. Good luck with that. What we don’t get about Rodney here is that unless he wants to flip-flop between getting rid of Blue and No Collar members, he would be at the bottom of almost any alliance, unless someone just wants to drag him to the end because they think they can beat him.
For Will, it’s pretty smart to team up with him. There’s zero chance Will loses to him in a final two, and if he can find another unlikable person in the remaining contestants, he could actually win the game!
Also, the promo after tonight’s episode teased that immunity idol hysteria is hitting the beach. There is still one buried at Escameca, and given that Mike is looking in a tree, we’re not sure he is going to find it. The person most likely to snatch it is either Jenn or Carolyn, since they clearly know what to look for.
