‘Scorpion’ season 1, episode 21 review: Walter and Cabe fall out, is team scorpion over?
Now that Happy and Toby are no longer dating due to his unforgivable (at least as far as Happy is concerned) mess up on their date (taking a relaxant, falling asleep and then standing her up), we are wondering how hard Toby will have to work to get her back… if he ever can that is. and with only two episodes left until the end of the season, we are hoping he can make a little progress at least. Also is Walter going to learn the truth about Cabe and the software he made for him all those years ago?
Cabe and Walter: All of the information from the Baghdad mission is going to be released to the public by hackers and Cabe is worried that a certain piece of information that he has been keeping from Walter will be released, so he decides to tell Walter the whole truth. He tells Walter that 3 days before the bombs were dropped that he knew about the true agenda… that he didn’t know from the beginning, but he did know before it happened. This hits Walter really hard… even more so when the case of the week is directly attached to what Walter did 16 years ago in Baghdad.
After learning the truth about Cabe, Walter tells the whole team and the agency that after this mission Walter wants Cabe off the team or he will quit. Paige says that she will do everything she can to try to mend the situation, but Cabe is fearful that it is over.
Ralph: We haven’t seen much of him lately… actually not much at all though out the entire season which is strange since he is someone who is supposed to be being mentored by the group. It was nice to see him today come in and dressed exactly like Walter: It gives us a reminder that he’s still there and that they have actually had an effect on him, even if we haven’t seen it. Ralph has learned that team scorpion is in a jam, so he ditches school and heads down to a highly toxic situation to be of use. He shows up at the location of the mission and ends up getting himself into the building where a toxic gas has been released, because he has an idea – something that can help save the city. And his idea works!!!!
Cabe resigns from the company after the mission ends as per Walter’s request, but he’s not the only one leaving the team. After Ralph’s stunt, she realizes that it’s way too dangerous for him, so she tells Walter that Drew has been offered a job in Maine and she’s going to tell him to take it and they are going to go with him. Walter does everything he can to convince her not to do it, but she refuses to listen.
The betrayal by Cabe was one thing, but losing Paige was a hit he just couldn’t take, so we were left with a cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers – Walter driving in a Ferrari off a cliff. And to think… this isn’t even the final episode!!!!!!! Episode grade: A
Do you think that Walter will be the same genius after this car crash? Do you want to see Paige and Ralph stay on the team? Who is going to be the team’s new contact if it’s not Cabe? Leave us a comment below and tell us what you want to see happen with Paige and Walter.

Chrissakes, DIDN’T ANYONE HAVE A FRIGGIN’ ROPE to rescue Cabe, Walter or the kid??? Surely there must’ve been a Wal-Mart or Lowes or HomeDepot SOMEWHERE nearby!!! LOL

I want to see Paige regret her decision so much and jump off the cliff.

I am glad they wrote Ralph in this week. I can see how he can be a tough character to write for, but I’d like to see more of him. This weeks episode is the best so far.

May I say: holy moly!!! I can’t wait for next week!!! I loved all the bits with Walter, Paige, Ralph, and Cabe, and how the backstory and current case flowed seemlessly. The right amount of action, heart, passion, and hurt all mixed in means I about had a near heart attack = the best episode of the season (thus far!). However, while I enjoyed the storyline this week, I am a “Quintis shipper” and would like (hint hint, loooove) to see some movement there. And where is Megan? After that episode where Sly dances with her, it’s like she disappeared off the face of the earth. I like her too much for her to end up like Ralph has much of the second half of the season – she was there, then suddenly not. I hope she comes back next week. I actually like Sly with her.
