‘Mistresses’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Two and a Half Men’ alum gets recurring role

Mistresses -The cast of “Mistresses” season 3 is expanding, even if in this case we’re not talking about a new regular a la what we are going to be seeing from Jennifer Esposito when the series comes back to ABC this summer.

According to Deadline, Emmanuelle Vaugier, who was probably best known for playing Mia on multiple episodes of “Two and a Half Men,” is set to recur in at least six episodes of the super-soapy summer series in the role of Niko. She’s an extremely tough, but attractive woman who has a very particular sense of style. As you probably assumed given this particular character description, she is really not someone who cares if you like her or not. She is just going to do her thing, and then expect you to live with some of the consequences in the end.

As for how she fits in with the series overall, she becomes the new mixologist at Joss’ bar in the new season. We imagine that we’ll be seeing so much more of this place moving forward, given that she may now be one of the more prominent characters due to the Harry/Joss storyline and the exit of Savi. Whether it was intentional or not, the star power of Milano made her the de facto lead of the series.

While not everyone may be as invested in season 3 as we are at the moment, we’re excited about this! After all, it feels very much like a clean slate and there is still so much story left for the other three women to explore.

Do you like this casting, or are you more in the vein of taking a wait-and-see approach for the new season given the exit of Alyssa Milano already?
