‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ spoltlight: Are Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks moving forward?
At this point in “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” we are used to seeing the familiar themes. You go on a group vacation, and when everyone really should be relaxing and enjoying some time with each other, you instead have a bloodbath involving all of the cast members going at each other. It happens every time, and it happened this time as well in the Philippines, a trip organized by Claudia Jordan for the sake of “peace.”
The funniest part of all this? At a certain point, people were so desperate for shouting matches that Porsha Williams started with Claudia for trying to mediate a discussion and be the voice of reason.
The biggest winner of the episode to us, meaning the person who really seemed to be trying the hardest not to get sucked into the vortex of drama, was Cynthia Bailey. She fought to work through some problems with Phaedra Parks, even though Phaedra herself did not seem to be particularly interested in working on her friendships the majority of the time.
As for the losers, at the top of the list were Phaedra and Porsha. While the former at least agreed at some point to sit down and try to talk out a few of her issues with Kenya Moore, we’re not entirely sure why the latter was even there.
We wanted to like this trip more than we did, mostly because we love the Philippines and it is such a dramatic change for the show. Unfortunately, there was so little to enjoy in between the constant debates and NeNe Leakes not even showing up.
