‘Scoprion’ episode 20 preview: Nuts, bolts, and songs in ‘Crossroads’

Monday night’s “Scorpion” episode probably has much of what you want: Action, romance, and our main characters putting themselves in the line of fire to help others. We’ve got a look at two of the sneak peeks below, and while one of them focuses on the Toby / Happy relationship, the other is fairly useless when it comes to main character story development, but gives fans a reminder of what the show is about: Solving missions.

1. Toby vs. Happy – The latter is not so happy. These two have developed a fun relationship throughout the season, and longtime viewers should appreciate that! However, what really makes this particular video stand out is that this is almost the perfect sneak peek. Even if you come into it knowing almost nothing about the show, it still informs you of who Happy is as a character and what she is like. Now that Toby and Happy have decided to go on an actually date, we aren’t surprised to see Happy react so badly to Toby taking a calming agent before their date, falling asleep and accidental standing her up. Happy is not a woman that opens up to people easily and Toby has already put in some serious work to get her to the point that she would go on a date with him, so not showing up for said date?  To say he’s in the dog house is an understatement… but we knew there would be bumps in the road for these two.

2. The plan – This sneak peek, meanwhile, is far less successful other than just telling you what Walter has devised for himself, Sylvester, Happy, and the rest of the group. This works far better within the context of the episode; without that, it feels more or less like a series of orders without a clear directive, beyond just getting a woman to Ventura. This is probably the case-of-the-week, and even when you watch it in the episode itself, you may not remember it so much due to the focus being elsewhere … like on Toby and Happy’s falling out.
