ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: Is Christa B. Allen due to return?
Are we finally going to get a chance to see Charlotte back on “Revenge“? It’s almost crazy to think about the story arc of this character: She went away to rehab in the first half of the season, and hasn’t been seen since. She wasn’t even in attendance for the funeral of Daniel Grayson, which continues to boggle our mind and doesn’t make a lot of sense. She’s related to the majority of the show’s major players, and yet she’s still absent.
Then again, can you really blame anyone from getting out of this Hamptons hot mess? This really should be voted the one place that you absolutely do not want to live under any circumstance. The enormous homes and the beach summers just aren’t worth it if it comes with all of this drama and devious plots to ruin your life.
In a post on Instagram, Christa B. Allen can be seen with a script for the show, which means either one of two things: Either she is being very cruel and tricking us into thinking that she is coming back on the show, or that she is actually coming back on the show for at least one episode near the end of the season. We are going to throw caution to the wind and say that she is likely coming back since we don’t think she would be as cruel as some of the characters on this show to tease her return and then never come back. Allen has been busy as of late with an arc on “Baby Daddy,” but it seems like she is set to make the transition from comedy to drama.
We don’t really care what the show gives Charlotte to do, just as long as it is something that doesn’t make her feel either completely helpless or incompetent. Her biggest issue is that nobody really seems to know what to do with the character, especially with the arrival of two other young women in Margaux and Louise to the scene in the past year and a half.

Bring her and Ashley back, please. The Nolan/Louise stuff is dull and predictable, Margaux is useless without the baby in her womb, the triangle between Jack, Emily, and Ben is bland at best, David’s use on the show pretty much died with Malcolm Black, and Victoria is far less complex, charismatic, and fun. That’s how boring the plots are these days, I want Charlotte and Ashley back; I try not to be a pessimist, but this show’s writing can test me. Only thing good about tonight’s episode was the Amanda bombshell within the last 2 minutes.
