‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Answers coming on the Fulcrum

The Blacklist logo any seasonWe definitely understand at the moment if you’re feeling somewhat frustrated about the Fulcrum and its focus in the world of “The Blacklist.” In a way, it is the fulcrum that is keeping much of the show together. We know Liz Keen has it, and it is one of the reasons Reddington sees her as such an important person.

Unfortunately for James Spader’s character, the real struggle here is going to come in convincing her that there is more value in allowing him to use it than her keeping it. This is something that executive producer Jon Bokenkamp elaborates on in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying that this is an important part of the story that you really should be keeping watch on as time progresses this season:

“He wants her to turn it over because he says it’s important and she’s not there yet … The mythology surrounding the Fulcrum, Reddington and really the people who he is most afraid of comes in fairly sharp focus by the end of the season. It’s something we’re going to be answering and paying off in what I think is going to be a really compelling way.”

If we were to make a prediction here, it would be that the Fulcrum ends up having a slightly different use than what it is originally intended for. After all, we have learned with this show time and time again that nothing seems to go quite as anticipated. There’s always a shocking twist or turn that comes out of nowhere.

Is there anything in particular you expect to see for Reddington moving forward on “The Blacklist” when it comes to the Fulcrum? Let us know right now with a comment.
