‘Longmire’ season 4: See Katee Sackhoff, Lou Diamond Phillips, Adam Bartley in first days on set

Big news -Love “Longmire“? Then it is pretty darn easy to love the fact that production is underway on the fourth season! This has been a long time coming, given that fans had a pretty scary period of time following the season 3 finale with the cancellation announcement and the search for a new home, but once the Netflix pickup was announced then the waiting game began again as production started to roll out. But all goof things come to those who wait and fans of this show have been some of the most patient (and supportive) of all fandoms in TV land.

Earlier this week many of the series stars were kind enough to share some of their first images back at work. Below, you have a chance to see some images featuring Katee Sackhoff (Vic), Lou Diamond Phillips (Henry), Adam Bartley (The Ferg), and Cassidy Freeman (Cady). Of course Robert Taylor is also still around, given that he is the title character of the show. Everyone appears to be thrilled to be back in New Mexico making new episodes, especially for a programmer who seems to be enthusiastic about adding the show to its roster. With Netflix being seen as such a future-forward company, it’s an exciting partner to be working with.

One of the mysteries right now of course surrounds the status of Bailey Chase, whose character of Branch had his fate left up in the air at the end of season 3. It’s fun to speculate, but there is absolutely zero chance we’re going to spoil whether or not he is still around. What’s the fun in that?

There is no firm return date for the new season yet, but our feeling is that it’ll be back in the fall given the production start time and the fact that we have to allow for a few weeks in post-production.
