‘The Flash’ spoilers: First details on Emily Kinney appearance; Brandon Routh crossover

The Atom -It is almost funny that the upcoming April 14 episode of “The Flash” is entitled “All-Star Team-Up,” especially when you consider that this title is, at least for the most part, not that far away from the name that the show’s producers have been using for their proposed spin-off series featuring Captain Cold, the Atom, Martin Stein, and whoever Caity Lotz is going to play.

When you consider everyone who is in this episode, though, you cannot be that surprised. You’ve got Brandon Routh and Emily Bett Rickards both coming in as Ray Palmer and Felicity Smoak, and to go along with that, Emily Kinney of “The Walking Dead” fame is guest-starring as Brie Larvin a.k.a. the Bug-Eyed Bandit. There’s going to potentially be a ton of cool stuff in this episode, and you can see the synopsis below:

“Barry (Grant Gustin) is surprised when Felicity Smoak (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) arrives from Starling City along with her boyfriend, Ray Palmer (guest star Brandon Routh), who flies in as the Atom. They’ve come to visit S.T.A.R. Labs as Ray needs help with his suit. Their timing turns out to be fortuitous because it’s all hands on deck after a meta human named Brie Larvin (guest star Emily Kinney) unleashes hundreds of robotic bees to attack and kill her former co-workers, including Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays). A group dinner with Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris (Candice Patton) and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) turns into a disaster.”

Who thought that this particular group date was going to be anything other than a hot mess? think about this for a second: Barry at one point crushed on Felicity, who in turn crushed on Oliver Queen and is now with Ray. Meanwhile, Barry is still crushing on Iris, who in turn is with Eddie, even though she in an alternate timeline confessed to having feelings for Barry. How could this not be weird? It’s basically Barry watching two other couples, and he had at least some feelings for both of the women.
