ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7: Where are Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, cast in filming?
While you are preparing to enjoy more episodes of “Castle” season 7, we figured that it may be nice to know where the actual cast is right now in the filming process. With that in mind, we come bearing answers!
In a post on Twitter (see below), Stana Katic confirmed that there are only two episodes left for them to film this season. Not only that, but she promised to share some behind-the-scenes photos on her Instagram every day that she is working on set. Before any of you start to press down hard on that panic button, a quick clarification: She is speaking here in terms of this season, and is not trying to insinuate in any way that there are only two episodes left of the entire series. The status of the show beyond this season is still unclear, but we have not heard anything from anyone suggesting that there is something to be seriously worried about right now.
For fans of Katic, just know that the final episodes of this season are going to contain quite a bit of Beckett mythology, and give her some really great stuff to do. Ultimately, think of it as a great chance to learn even more about the character, and hopefully it will be something very different than what we have seen before.
Before that time, though, there are way more than two episodes still to air on this particular season! If you head over here, for example, you can watch a preview for the new episode airing on Monday! Also, sign up to score some further TV news on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter. Season 7 has been good so far. It has had its ups and downs but its still just as enjoyable as previous seasons. I am hoping for an eighth season. And if it is renewed if its the final season I would be perfectly alright with that. The show has had 7 amazing seasons so far and it seems like all of the long running story-lines (3XK and Bracken and Beckett’s mothers murder) have all been wrapped up and logically a pregnancy seems like the next step in the Castle/Beckett relationship.
Like if season 8 is going to be the final season they have 23 episodes to wrap up everyone’s story-lines and give everyone closure.
All I want for the show is for it to end on its own terms, not to be canceled and leaving us with cliffhangers. The show is still doing well but the ratings are beginning to decline, but are still on par with what ABC would be happy with. I want the show to go out with good numbers too not with very few watching.

If the actors resign, they won’t get 23 episodes. They’ll get get 13 episodes. There’s no storyline with any of the characters when you think about. And it’s nothing they can’t wrap up in 13 episodes (or less).

Hope we get back to the Beckett-centric episodes if we do get a season 8 where interesting stories are told, where excellent acting is showcased & writers & directors & co-stars are inspired to give viewers their A-game . Center on the “Castle” character with very little Beckett or no Beckett at all then it’s uninteresting, bland, disjointed & then people tune out which most of season 7 has proven. On the other hand, we got more Beckett in Seasons 1-5 & the show enjoyed it’s highest ratings even with much stiffer competition than the show has currently. Let’s face it, viewers love Beckett. it’s that simple.

Looks like 721 won’t have much of Beckett in it. It’s a shame. Looks like some held the writer’s room hostage and demanded more screen time.

You lift and propogate stuff from TV Line and TV Guide. Just admit it. you have nothing fans can’t get from TV Line and TV Guide (and they’re more clear!)

You don’t know for sure she was posting in terms of the season. You can’t base anything on what she’s done (FYI: she’s never posted BTS scenes before during her end of the season tweets). Plus, where are you getting your information on the remaining episodes focusing on Beckett? That’s not true. 7×19 doesn’t focus on it. 7×20 is Castles. 7×21 has hardly any Beckett in it. 7×22 David Amann backed off the Beckett mythology in that episodes. So that haves 7×23 and that is Castle and Beckett. Quite making stuff up and claiming it as news!

Hopefully we can return to Beckett centric episodes and more interesting story lines. This season has felt so disjointed and bland. In fact most episodes have been down right boring. I kept hoping that things would improve but I finally gave up.and became disinterested.
I really believe that the show that gave us Knockout, Knockdown, Veritas, Kill Shot, Sucker Punch, ITBOTB, Always and so on and so on can return to that good writing, good story telling and most of all Good Acting.
I will give the return to Beckett a shot.
