‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage tease up new stories

Dany -

Game of Thrones” season 5 had its North American premiere last night in San Francisco, and for the most part, this allowed for one thing above all else: An opportunity to hear a little bit more about some of the stories that lie ahead.

Given how much that some of the promotional material out there has truly emphasized the dragons, you really cannot be too surprised at all that they have been a hot topic. Everyone is curious in some way to see what happens with them, and also whether or not Dany is going to finally get control over them completely. Two of them are tied up, while Drogon seems to be out on the loose, potentially terrorizing anything that he comes into contact with. This theme was echoed by series star Emilia Clarke, who shared the following short tease in terms of what to expect from these scaly characters to The Hollywood Reporter:

“It’s a dragon season, so they are definitely making a couple of appearances … I’ve lost one, so we’ll have to see if I can find him again.”

Meanwhile, Peter Dinklage (whose character Tyrion has been seen in a poster alongside the rogue dragon) explained how much of a struggle he has ahead now to find his voice:

“He has to find his footing again. He doesn’t care about much of anything when you see him at the start … He has to find his mojo once more, and Varys helps him down that road.”

By the end of the season, maybe we’ll get a chance to see Dany and Tyrion working together! We really want to see this happen, but at the same time we’re trying to temper expectations, mostly because there are many other things on this show that tend to move extremely slowly. There is no way of knowing for sure if this will be any different.
