‘The Flash’ episode 16 preview: Show boss on ‘Rogue Time’ story, Peyton List appearance

The FlashWe almost feel like Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Flash” has a near-impossible task: Trying to match the astronomical hype that was first established by last week’s “Out of Time.” This was bar-none the best episode of the show. Not only that, but it may be our favorite episode in this Andrew Kreisberg – Marc Guggenheim DC Comics universe since the “Three Ghosts” episode of “Arrow.” (We still sometimes listen to that Slade Wilson speech on loop.)

Suffice it to say, expectations are high. Then again, the show’s coming up with ways to match that, including bringing another familiar face from The CW on board in Peyton List. The former “Tomorrow People” star (the second to appear after Robbie Amell) is set to be Lisa Snart, brother to Leonard Snart a.k.a. Captain Cold on the series. Kreisberg praises her heavily in the sneak peek video below, saying that she manages to match the energy of both Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, who are both coming back as Cold and Heat Wave.

What is interesting to us about this preview is that the show leaves it a mystery as to whether or not Lisa has powers. In the comics, she is otherwise known as the Golden Glider, and can basically skate or “glide” on any surface. Depending on which comic you read, she also has some advanced speed abilities.

At this point, though, just having her be a skilled criminal may be enough for the show, given that you already have two bad guys with special guns out there for the Flash to deal with. Also, there’s still the unresolved issue of the Weather Wizard and Harrison Wells killing Cisco that will need to be addressed.

Tomorrow night, we’ll have our review for this episode up at the link here. Be on the lookout for that! Also, sign up to get some further news in a flash via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: The CW.)
