‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: News on Natalie Dormer, Emilia Clarke, and many more

Margaery -

The premiere of “Game of Thrones” is coming on Sunday, April 12, and HBO is not making you wait any longer to see synopses on the first three episodes! These do confirm many long-standing rumors that have been out there in the press. (We should note that there are some pretty decent spoilers in these, so don’t read them unless you already have a working knowledge of the books or don’t mind knowing the information before watching the show.)

Before we get to the individual synopses, here’s an interesting note: All three of these episodes were written by showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. The last time they did the first three episodes of a season was all the way back in season 1. They’ve always done the bulk of the writing on the show, but this season is even more different given that A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin is not writing an episode this time.

Episode 5×01, “The Wars to Come” – “Cersei (Lena Headey) and Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) adjust to a world without Tywin. Varys (Conleth Hill) reveals a conspiracy to Tyrion (Peter Dinklage). Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) faces a new threat to her rule. Jon (Kit Harington) is caught between two kings.”

Episode 5×02, “The House of Black and White” – “Arya (Maisie Williams) arrives in Braavos. Pod (Daniel Portman) and Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) run into trouble on the road. Cersei fears for her daughter’s safety in Dorne as Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma) seeks revenge for Oberyn’s death. Stannis (Stephen Dillane) tempts Jon. An advisor tempts Daenerys.”

Episode 5×03, “High Sparrow” – “In King’s Landing, Queen Margaery (Natalie Dormer) enjoys her new husband. Tyrion and Varys walk the Long Bridge of Volantis.”

What do you think about these three synopses, and are you glad to see that we are going to see Arya in Braavos, and Margaery with a new marriage already?
