‘Bones’ season 10 spoilers: Ryan O’Neal returns in ‘The Putter in the Rough’

Just in case you were hoping to see Brennan’s father Max back on “Bones” at some point this spring, we come bearing good news: You are going to have a chance to see him soon! We are specifically referring to “The Putter in the Rough,” which is going to be the 14th episode of this season airing on Thursday, April 16.

However, we cannot exactly promise you that this is going to be a happy occasion for the character. As the synopsis below gives away, there are going to be some scary moments coming up for Emily Deschanel’s character when he turns up on the scene. Why? Some of his actions start to make her concerned that he has fallen back into some of his old ways.

As for the overall story in this episode, the synopsis below makes it clear that there is also going to be a pretty fun mystery revolving around the sport of professional mini-golf. Who even knew this was a professional sport? Take a look below:

“The Jeffersonian team unravels an unexpectedly competitive world of mini-golf as they try to figure out the murder of the sport’s superstar. Meanwhile, Brennan is worried her father Max (guest star Ryan O’Neal) is reverting to his criminal tendencies and “squintern” Wendell Bray (guest star Michael Grant Terry) enlists Hodgins to help him fix his girlfriend’s family heirloom.”

Any time that we can have a case that is so far out there that we never imagined seeing it on the show, that is something we can get behind and celebrate, since there are many crimes shows out there that just regurgitate the same tired scenarios over and over again.
