‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 finale spoilers: Is Negan, Morgan, someone else on the way?

For those who love “The Walking Dead,” we come bearing some big news: The 90-minute episode is almost here! Granted, this news may not be good news for those of you not interested in waiting until fall for season 6. (There may be a spin-off this summer, but still.)

There are many mysteries that are still to come in the big finale airing on AMC next week, but one of the biggest ones is rather simple: Are we about to get a cameo appearance from either Negan or Morgan? The promo below doesn’t give too much away, but many fans are already speculating about the “Negan jacket” Chandler Riggs is wearing on “Talking Dead.” We feel like the timing is right for the character to turn up, but it feels more like a season 6 surprise since there has been zero casting news when it comes to this character just yet.

As for Morgan, we feel like this has to be a much more distinct possibility at the moment. Why? We have one clear reason for it: We’ve seen the man so much this season already! When you get an opportunity to see him twice on the season so far, it makes sense that he would be eventually turning up again. Some theory is that the “W” on the walkers is an upside-down M for Morgan, though there are others who think it may be ties to a group from the comic book.
