ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 18 video: Ryan, Esposito, and a struggle
There is something that we feel very much at this point thanks to watching crime shows for so many years: If something is not “adding up,” there is typically a pretty good reason for that. No good police show is going to end a case a good 20 or 30 minutes into the episode, and then just sit around and play Monopoly the rest of the time.
Therefore, let’s turn to the latest sneak peek below from Monday night’s new “Castle” episode, and wonder simply what in the world is truly going on here. As we shared already in multiple other articles, Ryan is focused to an extreme level on what happened at a shooting, which took place while he was working a security detail for a high-level politician. Given the situation (and possibly some other factors), he is more motivated than ever to get this right. This is probably why we have sneak peeks like the one below, where he ponders with Esposito as to whether or not the facts really line up or not.
If there is one reason to think that Ryan’s inclination here could be wrong (which is rare in all cop shows), it has to do with what Espo tells him in simple terms: The guy is exhausted. When you are suffering through something like that, your brain tends to do some crazy things. Coming up with crazy theories is a part of it. (Then again, if you are Castle, you come up with these regardless.
No matter the truth, we are going to learn it in a matter of days. Excited? Then head over here, where you can see another sneak peek for this episode right now!
