‘The Voice UK’ rankings: Lucy O’Byrne, Sheena McHugh, Vikesh Champaneri compete on Team Will

Will -The live shows for “The Voice UK” are starting up this very weekend, and with that in mind, we are taking it upon ourselves to really dive into the process of sizing up the hopefuls. There are a lot of unique talents among the group, with each one of them bringing something fairly unique to the table.

Earlier, we ranked some of the contestants who are currently a part of Team Rita Ora, and we are here to once again do the same thing for Team will.i.am. Looking for our take on either Team Tom Jones or Ricky Wilson? We will be back with those early tomorrow, prior to the start of the official performance show.

3. Vikesh Champaneri – He gave a pretty good performance of an overdone song in “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” to make it this far in the competition, but there is still no guarantee that he is going to be able to overcome his present underdog status. He’s a nice guy, but he has his work cut out for him.

2. Lucy O’Byrne – She may have the best pure voice in the entire competition, but despite it being the name of the show, this is not necessarily the way that audience members vote. What you have to think about here is mostly this: Will this sort of competition favor an opera singer? They have before at times, but the more you start to hear the genre, the less you are initially blown away by it.

1. Sheena McHugh – She’s a different sort of contestant than someone Will has mentored before, and that is exciting. She can do rock music, but also something more soulful. We feel like that musical diversity, coupled with her personality, will help propel her to the top.
