‘Scream Queens’ spoilers: First official Emma Roberts photo

For a show that is not even going to be on Fox until the fall at the earliest, we are currently getting quite a bit of news in regards to “Scream Queens.” For example, we have one of the first promotional photos right now featuring Emma Roberts! While we don’t know too much about her character Chanel just yet, it feels pretty certain given the presumed attitude we’ve seen so far that there could be some similarities here between this character and Madison Montgomery from “American Horror Story: Coven.” We’re all about that, given that Madison was completely insane and one of the better parts of that season.

Fox also released the newest teaser earlier this week featuring Keke Palmer, but it is basically identical to the one featuring Emma released previously. She blows a bubble, and apparently some sort of demon is inhabiting it. There’s really not anything that you are ultimately meant to take away from this beyond the visual. This is not in context to what the actual story for the show is going to be. What we do at least know through this is that her name is Zayday. Clearly, this show is going the route of giving us as many different bizarre names as possible.

“Scream Queens” also has a cast that includes Abigail Breslin, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Lea Michele hopping right over from “Glee.” Joe Manganiello was supposed to be on the show but had to back out; some other confirmed people appearing over the course of the season are Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande, but their specific episode count is not clear at present.

Let’s just hope that this show is consistently crazy throughout, and doesn’t hit some of the typical Ryan Murphy stumbling blocks of coming out strong, and then faltering near the end.
