‘Arrow’ season 3, episode 16 podcast: On ‘The Offer,’ Roy and Thea, and death rumors with Jessa

Arrow -It has been a few weeks since “Arrow” aired a new episode before Wednesday night, and with that in mind, it had also been a while since we were last presented with an opportunity to record a podcast!

This new edition therefore has a whole lot of ground to cover. Not only was this episode ultimately a chance to learn a thing or two more about Ra’s al Ghul, but we also got more inside of Oliver Queen’s head as we start to learn why he did not want to ultimate replace him and book a one-way ticket to Nanda Parbat. In this podcast, CarterMatt co-founders Matt Carter and Jessa go through everything that worked in this episode, starting with the weighing of options between becoming Ra’s and staying the Arrow. This was all good stuff, and as we determined, there is quite a benefits package that comes with leading the League of Assassins.

Meanwhile, we also went through some of the big character development away from the Ra’s story. For example, getting to see Captain Lance start to slowly and surely move away from being the top supporter of the Arrow on the police force, and having him and the Black canary a little more on an island than they were previously. Also, what about what happened to Roy and Thea? Important stuff, and given how strong a reaction we had previously to the idea of them getting back together, you may be surprised by how we feel about this.

As always, we end the podcast with a little bit of “Arrow” news, including a preview for the finale and also some of the latest scoop on the proposed spin-off between this show and “The Flash.”
