ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 18 video: Ryan runs security
We’ve seen over six seasons worth of Ryan being a cop on “Castle,” so how are his skills when it comes to security? This is one of the focuses of the latest sneak peek below for “At Close Range,” the new episode of the ABC series that is going to be airing come Monday night.
The sneak peek that we have for you below is noticeably short, but it does still serve a purpose: Ryan is still pretty good at his job. He is traveling alongside a Congressman, and his duty is making sure that nobody has the chance to do something crazy. Just in this sneak peek alone, you see him doing something to ensure that someone does not poor a bottle full of blood all over the guy. (Somehow, this reminds us of a recent episode of “Arrested Development.”
Unfortunately for Ryan, we know at some point that things are going to turn south for him, and he may even be accused of a crime he did not commit after a shooting. With the help of Castle, Beckett, and Esposito, we will be seeing him work hard to ensure that his name is properly cleared, and the real mystery is eventually solved.
While this episode may not tell us much about a long-term story, it does feel like it will be an entertaining hour of TV. It gives the always-great Seamus Dever some material, just as it also allows Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion to take a breather at times (even if they’ll still have quite a bit to do).
