‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ episode 6 preview: Bromance is in the air for Rodney, Joaquin
What’s with all of the “Survivor: Caramoan” vibes during “Survivor: Worlds Apart” right now? We had Max Dawson creating a “hold up bro” moment out of nowhere during this past episode tonight, and next week, we have Rodney and Joquin forming a pact that feels very much like the Three Amigos … except only with two of them. These two guys seem to be ready to bro down! They’re both from the east coast, they have some similarities in personality, and maybe if you combine the two, you could have one person with reasonably normal hair. (We kid!)
Anyway, the bond that these two form is going to be so strong, it makes Dan, Mike, and Sierra discuss getting rid of another former member of the White Collar tribe. That’s great! They should have done it tonight! Think about it: If Lindsey had been put on the new Escameca in Rodney’s place, they probably would stick with Blue Collar and they’d have a more solid group. They’d have no one going off with Joaquin, and they could just keep those numbers until the merge, get back Kelly, and have a solid five.
Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
As far as promos go, tonight’s had to be one of the worst we’ve had in terms of giving us the full spectrum of what lies ahead. For example, there was no mention of how Shirin or the new Nagarote are functioning with Max out of the game. Given that they are probably going to lose the next challenge anyway pending some miracle, it would be nice to figure out if there is any way she stands a chance of making it through next week. As of right now, she feels like the obvious boot.
Do you think Shirin has a hope of lasting, or could you see Escameca doing something drastic to get rid of Rodney?
