‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 11 spoilers: Are April, Jackson going to try again?

What's next? -Is it clear at the moment that April and Jackson are going through some tough stuff on “Grey’s Anatomy“? Definitely. “Devastating” may be the right word for it. While it is definitely understandable that some out there would want to root for these two characters (played by Sarah Drew and Jesse Williams) to move forward rather quickly, it’s not so easy. They are still in a period of mourning, and they also may feel to a certain extent like they don’t want to try again, given everything that they have been through. Why go through the pain and the heartache? Eventually, we do think that this could change, but it probably will not be a focus this season.

For some other evidence right now when it comes to that, take a look at what executive producer Shonda Rhimes had to say to E! News:

“I don’t really know if that’s what they’re going to be focused on now … They will be focused on other things. If that experience is going to cause them to search elsewhere.”

Moving deeper into this season, what we would really hope for from these characters is a real opportunity to see them grow and progress. That means watching them go through many successes to help them ease the pain somewhat. The best thing that they can really do from our vantage point is not put so much pressure on themselves. Maybe they will be able to start a family at some point, but focusing solely on that will make their current pain even worse.
