ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 18 preview: ‘At Close Range’ features Seamus Dever’s Ryan
Tonight, “Castle” returned to ABC following a multi-week hiatus, and with an episode that really placed the spotlight on Beckett’s new partner in “Hong Kong Hustle.” This episode was fun, and a nice way to bring us back into the action of the show.
Next week, we are going to moving in a slightly different direction, and with a character who has not had a whole lot of time in the spotlight as of late: Ryan. On the surface, it appears as though “At Close Range” is going to be a huge installment for Seamus Dever’s character, as we start to see more of him away from work. Little did he know while being on security details that all of his worlds would be colliding in a pretty dramatic way. In case you have not seen it already, take a look at the official synopsis below:
“Detective Kevin Ryan is on the security detail of a charismatic congressman attending a charity event when shots suddenly ring out. Driven to apprehend the killer, Ryan must revisit the events that led up to the shooting, with the help of Castle and Beckett.”
You can see the promo for this episode now below, and it proves that ultimately, many of our already-established theories were correct: It turns out that Ryan really is being accused of a crime as a result of what happens with the shooting. We’ve seen this sort of story before, but this time, Castle is right: There really is a conspiracy!
