‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Creator on ‘close vote’ between Britt Nilsson, Kaitlyn Bristowe

Britt -Even though “The Bachelorette” has already been chosen officially, ABC is still being coy when it comes to releasing the announcement. Maybe some of you have already heard unofficially just who the next star of the series is going to be, but we did at least get some new voting information via show creator Mike Fleiss.

In a post on Twitter below, Fleiss made it clear that it was “a very close vote” to determine who would be the star of the next season between Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson. In a way, this makes the season even more awkward for a number of reasons. For example, do the women know it was a close vote? That would be odd, since they would know that a certain percentage of the guys really weren’t pulling to be the leading lady. Are they going to leave? Also, it has to totally stink for the Bachelorette to miss out on the lead role just because of the fact that she had a few less votes than someone else.

This is why the big thing that we’re hoping for ultimately in regards to the show is that we get a real chance here to see the loser’s journey in addition to the winner’s. After all, she’s not really a loser at all, and given the criticism of this twist, it’d be terrible for this person to go home right away. Maybe you don’t show their entire journey, but you given them a chance to find love with a few people in small segments or off-screen.

We’re sure that more news will officially come out, so stay tuned!
