‘The Good Wife’ season 6 spoilers: Lily Rabe poised to return
While we are pretty happy to see Lily Rabe returning to “The Good Wife,” we also have a feeling that there is probably someone else who is not altogether thrilled to have her character of Petra around: Alicia Florrick. Basically, the presence of Petra basically means that Julianna Margulies’ character is going to have some hard questions to answer. This is the sort of thing that happens on dramatic TV shows; more often than not, you don’t hear about people reporting the good news.
The “American Horror Story” actress will be specifically turning up in the still-untitled episode airing on April 5 (“The Good Wife” often waits for a while before unveiling titles), and CBS released the official synopsis for it this week:
“Still reeling from the cyber-hack at her law firm, Alicia is ambushed with questions about her leaked emails during a television interview. Meanwhile, Diane takes on a case that pits her sympathies towards gay marriage against the rights of religious freedom. Also, an investigator starts looking into the evidence Diane used to get Cary out of prison.”
Regardless of whether or not it was intentional, you really cannot read this without thinking for at least a second about the big Sony hack. This story really defined the entertainment landscape in some ways over the past year, and really exposed just how many people talk behind closed doors. While we cannot imagine Alicia ever saying anything that would end her career in an email, there still could be something in them that proves to be somewhat problematic for her.
