The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber: What was Martha Stewart’s worst fear?
We have to admit that when we first heard Martha Stewart’s name as a participant on the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber, we were shocked. Why in the world would she do this? She’s already extremely successful, and there’s not a major connection to the Biebs that we could figure out beforehand. Yet, she was there, and based on some of what we’ve heard, she was pretty funny. We’re not going to sit here and spoil every aspect of her act, though, since that would take away some of the fun.
What we will tell you about is that going into the game, she was very nervous. How so? Speaking at the red carpet per Entertainment Weekly, she was more worried about things people would say about her much more than anything she would say about someone else:
“I have many, many reservations [about my jokes] … Please, everyone who knows me: I didn’t write this stuff. … I’m going to say some raunchy stuff, but I just worry about what they’re going to say about me.”
There are some jokes about Martha that are obviously low-hanging fruit: Her going to prison, her owning a billion different domestic product lines, and of course that entire season of “The Apprentice” all come to mind. Granted, we doubt that the latter will be brought up; it’ll most-likely just be a series of prison jokes.
The full roast will air on Comedy Central at the end of the month. Kevin Hart is the official Roastmaster for the evening, and if you head over here, you can see the full roster of participants right now.
