‘Longmire’ season 4: Robert Taylor, Lou Diamond Phillips meet with author Craig Johnson before filming

Longmire -We are now only a matter of several days away from the start of “Longmire” season 4 filming, and it seems like some of the show’s cast are making their way ever closer to New Mexico, where filming is going to take place.

This weekend, both Robert Taylor (Walt Longmire) and Lou Diamond Phillips (Henry Standing Bear) joined author Craig Johnson for a discussion at the Tuscon Festival of Books this week, which of course is a celebration of all things literature. Johnson is the mastermind behind bringing these characters to life, and while we were not there in attendance, everything we’ve heard so far suggests that it was a great time. (If you were there and met any of the three, we’d be happy to hear all about it!)

For most of 2015, it has felt still as though the beginning of filming was still a long ways in the distance, and we’re thrilled to see all of the little signs again that production is beginning. Taylor is back in the United States, and Katee Sackhoff is getting set to head east, enjoying some last-minute time at the beach in the Los Angeles area. (See the Instagram post below.)

It’s still far too early to tell when “Longmire” season 4 will premiere on Netflix, but we can tell you that we’ll be here with the news the moment it breaks. The folks over at the streaming service are very good at getting information over to us the moment it is announced. We of course also hope to have so much more news beyond just that.
