‘Madam Secretary’ episode 17 preview: Tea Leoni, Bob Schieffer face off in ‘Face the Nation’
“Face the Nation” is the title for next week’s new episode of “Madam Secretary,” and it is going to make for a pretty fun episode of TV. After all, there are not too many examples of art and life colliding, at least in terms of scripted TV, but it will during this episode. After all, Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) is going to have to face the challenge of appearing on national TV. Given that this is CBS, you cannot be too surprised that the show is “Face the Nation.” Bob Schieffer will be guest-starring as himself, which allows for the rare challenge of him basically interviewing a fictional character in the same way that he would a politician.
You can see the official synopsis for this installment below, just in case you have not seen it already:
“As Elizabeth struggles to hold herself together emotionally following the attack in Iran, she works to prevent an ecological disaster in the Amazon, and prepares for a national television appearance on ‘Face the Nation.’ Also, she and Henry disagree about the level of protection Jason should have at his new school.”
The story is starting to team up at the moment in this episode, and by the time we get the end here, we are truly going to be entering the home stretch. There are only five more installments left this season, and hopefully that means a variety of exciting twists and turns. We’re going to have some further updates soon; stay tuned.
