‘Better Call Saul’ episode 7 preview: Jimmy searches for a new office

After spending the vast majority of this past episode of AMC’s “Better Call Saul” telling the story of Mike Ehrmantraut, the story is actually shifting more in the direction of our leading man going into Monday night’s all-new episode. What a noble concept!

The sneak peek below makes it very clear that Jimmy McGill is already starting to think big when it comes to his supposed new calling of “elder law.” He is scoping out a new and sizable office, and one that doesn’t feel like he is working inside of a tiny hole in the ground. While we are not looking here at something on the same level as Hamlin’s office, it’s still pretty darn nice.The question is whether or not he can even afford this year. Unless Jimmy has been doing a ton of business since we last saw him, it really doesn’t feel like he has been doing this an altogether long time. Then again, we wouldn’t be too shocked to see a major time jump at some point, given that Jimmy may keep visiting the nursing homes if that is working, and watching him with the Jello only works for so long.

No matter the timing, things still seem to be going well for Kim and Jimmy, though we still don’t exactly know the full parameters of their relationship just yet. While they care about each other, is there really anything that is long-term here, or are we looking at a relationship that is doomed to be finite? Given that we don’t hear about her at all during “Breaking Bad,” we’re leaning towards the latter.

There are only a few episodes left of this series in 2015, and the thought of that alone makes us sad. Still, we’ll have more time soon to preview the finale.
