‘The Voice UK’ results: Did Lucy O’Byrne, Esmee Denters, Sheena McHugh advance on Team Will?

Voice -The Voice UK” aims to surprise during the Knockout Rounds, but we feel like the biggest surprise of all is the fact that there are so many contestants left at the start of this phase. It is our personal dream that they would start with fewer contestants and therefore allow for more time for live shows in the end, but we may be in the minority when it comes to that.

Earlier today, we shared the three advancing artists from Team Rita Ora, and we’re back again today to do the same thing for Team Will!

Lucy O’Byrne – Had she not advanced, we would have staged a revolt! While opera is a little risky as a genre on this show, we’re glad to see Will that is able and willing to take this sort of chance. Hopefully, viewers will respond to it with vote.

Sheena McHugh – We’re not too surprised by this choice either, mostly because Sheena has a killer voice in her own right. Given that Will has a good resume of doing well on this show with female singers, there’s no reason to think that will change now.

Vikesh Champaneri – Probably the surprise of the group, mostly because we started to buy into the idea that Esmee Denters’ past was going to be a real key cog in her getting to the live shows, where she would have a built-in audience. Clearly, Will really believes that Vikesh can be the underdog story this show needs, and we’ll just have to see what happens when we go live next week.
