ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4, episode 16 preview: Has Margaux gotten to Ben?

It may be fair to say that Margaux has officially entered Big Bad territory on “Revenge” season 4, and the latest sneak peek below makes it just a little bit clearer what her specific endgame plans are for Emily Thorne: Destroying her reputation, and then taking away from her almost everything that she cares about. Margaux’s not a particularly violent person, but she still seems adept at finding other ways to hurt people.

The latest person to feel this man is Emily’s new beau Ben, who is being threatened courtesy of what Margaux has on his ex April. He is stuck between a rock and a hard place, and while we wish that he was fighting back more, we don’t feel like he is a particularly evil guy. Instead, he is just a guy who feels like he has no other choice. He helps Margaux to get some further proof that Emily is actually Amanda Clarke, which is something that she wants to expose to the public.

The one problem we have with all of Margaux’s scheming at the moment is rather simple: Does Emily really care that much about what she is doing? At this point, it feels like she is really beyond feeling that concerned with what the public thinks of her. We’re actually not that sure what Emily really wants at all anymore, and maybe that is one of the issues with the current storyline. Victoria’s already been taken down in the public eye, Conrad is gone, and Daniel is dead. What else is there? It feels like at this point, Emily may just be better off taking from this world.
