‘The Voice UK’ preview: The knockout rounds begin

Voice -Ready for things on “The Voice UK” to start to get a little bit crazy? This is precisely what the Knockout Rounds are for! The BBC is preparing for a very busy two days of competition here, as well, given that there are at present eight artists performing on each team, and by the end of the weekend, there are only going to be three people moving forward for the live shows.

Yes, this is a complete bloodletting by this series, and another bit of evidence that for this particular version of the show, what seems to be the most important thing is the bottom line. The blind auditions are what generate the most attention, and fewer people tend to care once you get to the end of the season. Therefore, they front-load this show with content in one of the most ridiculous ways imaginable.

Ultimately, it is time for the field to be narrowed. When you have so many people on the teams that you have a terrible time remembering everyone as a viewer, it is problematic. There are some people we’ve only seen for two episodes this entire season. With that in mind, it is not easy to even pick a favorite!

The good news is that when the live shows start in just over a week’s time, the field will probably become more competitive than ever. Spots in the finale will be at stake before you know it, and that is going to be quite the exciting thing to behold.

Tomorrow, we’ll be back with a full review of the episode. Stay tuned for that!
