‘The Originals’ season 2, episode 16 video: Prepare yourselves for Dahlia!

On Monday night’s new episode of “The Originals,” be prepared to see Rebekah’s inner host start to fight back!

Before we start to get into this video, we thought it would be rather interesting to point something out here in terms of character names. The name for Rebekah’s host is Eva Sinclair (played by Maisie Richardson-Sellers). Meanwhile, we just wrote about a new character coming to “Under the Dome” also named … Eva Sinclair. Who knew there were so many people with the same name in TV? That quirk aside, the two seem very different, and the “Originals” Eva is going to be trying her best to fight off Rebekah’s control in this episode. As for whether or not she wins, that will be something hopefully revealed sooner rather than later.

Away from Eva, there is another obvious story thread pointed out in this video by executive producers Julie Plec and Michael Narducci that seems very much important: The arrival of Dahlia. Freya is warning Elijah that she is on the way, and she is thirsty for power and to take Hope’s powers as her own. This is not going to be an easy foe for this family to fend off. As a matter of fact, we’re starting to wonder if she is meant to be the Big Bad of the rest of the season. This show is always best when there is a consistent adversary, but it has shifted a number of times over the course of the past several episodes.
