‘Blue Bloods’ season 5, episode 19 preview: ‘Through the Looking Glass’

Blue Bloods season 5Do you want to know when the next new episode of “Blue Bloods” is coming on the air? Well, we come bearing answers! Friday, April 3 is the date, and while we realize that this is quite a few weeks away, there is a specific reason for it: NCAA basketball. This hiatus means that there will be more episodes to air later, and we are very much down with that.

Unfortunately, there is not a whole lot that is known about this episode at the moment, other than the title (“Through the Looking Glass,” which reminds us of both Lewis Carroll and “Lost”) and also the short synopsis below, which is all about journalism and sources:

“Frank goes toe to toe with an investigative journalist who refuses to give up her source, despite the source admitting to committing murder. Also, Danny is paired with a troubled teenager as part of an NYPD program aimed at influencing youth to make better decisions.”

We would say at the moment that this sounds like it will be a pretty solid episode of television, and if nothing else, we feel like it has the potential to be thoroughly entertaining. Our main hope along the way here is that the show brings us something new, and also gives Danny a great story with this particular teenager. We know already that he can be a little hard on people from time to time, and if there was an occasion to exercise a little bit of empathy, this is it.
