Tuesday night, “The Flash” returns with a new episode entitled “Out of Time,” and the arrival of a brand-new man who can control the weather. If you thought that Clyde was bad in the pilot, just wait until you meet his brother. Liam McIntyre is the latest “Spartacus” alum who has been cast within the CW’s DC Universe, and he is playing a man Cisco coins as the Weather Wizard. His skills are even more advanced than his brother’s, and he will seemingly be an even more formidable opponent to Barry Allen.
What makes him somewhat interesting as a villain, though, is that he is not really out for Barry so much as he is out to try to stop Joe West. He wants revenge on the man who killed his brother. This adds another wrinkle into how he operates.
In the video below, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg explains how this character arrives in Central City, and also somewhat of why he is so dangerous. To us, the biggest thing we are still intrigued about here is the episode’s title. This is something that brings to mind time travel, which is an integral part of the Flash mythology and clearly plays a big part in this season.
Could this be the first episode where Barry moves forwards or backwards in time? It’s possible, but if he does, we imagine that he is probably not going to be particularly good at it … at least at the moment.
