‘American Idol XIV’ results: Was Sarina Joi-Crowe, Daniel Seavey, Nick Fradiani eliminated?

American Idol -Is “American Idol” in the darkest timeline? We wondered that at moments during Thursday night’s new episode, given that things were spelled out in a not-so-tremendous way for a few of our favorite performers.

For example, we turn now to Sarina Joi-Crowe. We’re not going to sugarcoat the fact that she was really not good last night reprising her audition song. However, at the same time she has done countless sensational covers of other songs. Meanwhile, you have some other performers on this season who have been consistently worse, but voted on for things such as their story, their age, or their appearance. We’re not going to name names, but you probably have a good idea who we’re referring to for the most part.

Ultimately, this was pure madness. We lost Sarina at the top 12, which has to be the most blasphemous elimination since Kendra Chantelle so many seasons ago. How does this happen? Why does this happen? She was our top-ranked female singer of the season!

What this should really tell you is that if you are a female artist this season, be worried. If she can go home just because she had one weak performance after going first, where does the show go from here?

It’s hard to really comprehend the rest of the show right now, even if there were some good performances in here. We do understand not wanting to use the save at this point in the competition, but then again, isn’t this what it is really for? This was tomfoolery at its finest.
