‘American Idol XIV’ spoilers: What Nick Fradiani, Jax, Qaasim Middleton, top 11 could sing

American Idol -There’s a quick turnaround when it comes to “American Idol” this week! One of the reasons we had audition reprisals this week was because there were new performances tonight, and the contestants spend the past few days prepping these in the event that they actually made it here.

Party songs are going to be theme of the night, though we should caution you here in saying that of the twelve songs listed below (and first revealed by TVLine), only eleven will perform. That is why we included the word “could” in the title, since it’s theoretically possible that one of those three could be eliminated. (Personally, we feel like it would be a tragedy if any of them actually were, though.)

Adanna Duru, “Runaway Baby” – Tough song. Adanna has the skills to do it, but it’s not the easiest in the world to do.

Jax, “Blank Space” – Smart choice. On paper, it seems like it’ll be a good fit.

Joey Cook, “Fancy” – This is either going to be really cool, or a complete disaster. Huge risk.

Maddie Walker, “She’s Country” – Proof that there are party country songs. Good to stay in her lane for this one.

Sarina Joi-Crowe, “Neon Lights” – This should work for her pretty well. She’s coming off of her weakest outing of the season, but this is a fun song that should help her.

Tyanna Jones, “Tightrope” – Perfect choice. Tyanna can work the stage, and this song requires movement.

Clark Beckham, “Takin’ It to the Streets” – We love Clark’s voice, but is he ever going to do something even remotely relevant?

Daniel Seavey, “Happy” – Given his vocal limitations, probably a good pick that is pretty age-appropriate.

Nick Fradiani, Jr., “Wake Me Up” – Love this pick for Nick. Even though this is an upbeat song, there is still a ton of emotion he can channel through it.

Rayvon Owen, “Burn” – Deceptively hard song. Rayvon could make it great, but he’ll have to work at it.

Qaasim Middleton, “Jet” – Yeah, we never imagined that a Paul McCartney & Wings song would be performed tonight.

Quentin Alexander, “Rolling in the Deep” – Wait, what sort of party is playing this song? Far too sad for this theme.
