‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: Is Britt Nilsson, Kaitlyn Bristowe twist all for show?

We have spent a heck of a lot of time over the past 24 hours talking about the new season of “The Bachelorette,” and a heck of a twist that has been thrown out there regarding Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson. For only the second time in the history of the “Bachelor” / “Bachelorette” franchise, there are going to be two stars!

Now the interesting thing about this twist is that ultimately, it is mostly all for show. Speaking to TV Guide in a new interview, host Chris Harrison basically confirms that by the end of the first episode, there will only be one woman on the show. Also, he acknowledged that in the end, spoilers are probably going to ruin whoever is chosen to be the leading lady anyway:

“It’ll 100 percent get out. It’ll probably get out before the girls in the limo! The people that go on this show and the people of this generation live to tell things. If someone can’t get through a meal without tweeting, do you really think they’ll come away with this kind of information and not spill it? No, it’s impossible. So it’ll get out and that’s the way we’ll live and we’ll have to think about it. Maybe we’ll take that moment and announce it somewhere, but it is absolutely impossible to keep this a secret.”

Ultimately, the show would be silly not to acknowledge this, since the last thing they want is furious fans at the time the show actually premieres. Announce the choice, however that choice is made (on one knows for show yet), and then allow the rest of the season to play out. If people are upset, then this gives them time to calm down from it.
