‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5, episode 23 review: Mona’s message, Andrew’s creepiness, and Ali’s trial
Alison’s trial began on “Pretty Little Liars” Tuesday night, and it certainly is proving itself to be intense. Also, we’re feeling more and more like it is going to be very hard for all four of our leading ladies to get out of this without any more problems to their name.
For example, the prosecution has a ton of evidence, and based on that little cliffhanger at the end of the episode, Emily could also be in the crosshairs. This is what happens time and time again when you cross someone like “A,” who has this nasty habit of being everywhere at one time and constantly being smarter than the known universe. Is there a little bit of hope still? Sure, if you are talking about that mysterious message from Mona. Personally, we think that this is some sort of anagram or word scramble; Mona was smart enough to know that it is never a good idea to make all of her clues so supremely obvious.
As for some other news from this episode, could Andrew be any creepier if we tried? We are answering that question with a firm “no” at the moment. This is a guy who has shown a knack for suspicious behavior time and time again, and we do not see that changing at any point this season. Why start giving him the “creepy edit” now unless there is some sort of specific reason why we’re seeing it?
