‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: The Britt Nilsson – Kaitlyn Bristowe choice gets murkier

We don’t often give “The Bachelor” / “The Bachelorette” credit for being sneaky and coy, but they are definitely doing so when it comes to Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe.

Is it possible that we could see one of the first major shakeups to the format we’ve seen in a long time for this coming season? It’s at least possible. Earlier this past weekend, we were positive that Kaitlyn had the gig after she was spotted with a film crew in Los Angeles. However, as it turns out Britt was also spotted out in the same era, and we’ve seen some pictures of her with fans. While we have not necessarily seen pictures of a film crew, we get the feeling that they may have been there.

So what does this mean? One idea here is that the show is doing something that “The Amazing Race” has done for years in hiring someone to be a decoy. This keeps the secret safe a little longer. However, this is a lot of work just to keep a secret safe until tonight, when the new Bachelorette will be named.

This is why you also have to consider if the show is planning to do something crazy, like give you a series with two different Bachelorettes, and you follow the journey of each one of them to find love. It would be a massive change to the format, but given how overstuffed these episodes are, we wouldn’t really complain if you cut down on the kissing montages to feature two separate stories.

We just hope that this isn’t some gimmick where the guys or America chooses the Bachelorette between the two. These women have already been rejected once; don’t make it happen again.
