‘Bates Motel’ season 3 spoilers: Will Norman Bates return to school?

“Bates Motel” fans, your favorite creepy establishment is about reopen its doors. Monday night marks the season 3 premiere, and in preparation of all of its greatness, A&E has presented us with the gift of a sneak peek we have for you below.

If you ever wanted some evidence that Norman Bates was going to have a hard time at White Pine Bay High School, this video is the proof. He clearly does not want to be back at this establishment after what happened to Miss Watson. He’s started to come to terms with the fact of what happened to her, even if Norma is not. This leads to delusions, hauntings, and other terrible things … such as seeing her almost around every single corner of the school in the strange way in which Norman envisions her, with perfect makeup and a bright smile on her face.

The first reason everyone takes notice of Norman is simple: His mom freaks the you-know-what out on him right in front of the school, as he freaks out and drags his feet over the idea of going in. This video is almost reminiscent of trying to get a cat to take a bath, where he kicks and screams until being finally shoved in. The different here is that there are dozens of students silently judging.

Later, these same students refuse to sit with Norman. He has no real friends, and is almost sitting inside a fish bowl while trying to pursue his studies. This cannot be a good recipe for healthy behavior, and we will se further how he continues to function in school as this season progresses.
