‘House of Lies’ season 4, episode 8 preview: Marty Kaan forges a plan
On this past episode of “House of Lies,” Marty Kaan found himself in a tough position. He briefly had a chance to do a victory dance over making the threshold needed for a big payout over the Gage deal with Ellis Hightower, he seemed to forget about one little thing in the process: Ellis may be the worst human being alive. Trying to convince this man to actually do something for you is near impossible when there is no perceived benefit to him. He knows that Kaan & Associates cannot challenge him in court; they’ll go bankrupt even trying.
Luckily, we have in the sneak peeks below proof that Marty has himself a very different plan.
1. Marty and Jeannie forge their plan – Marty managed to find himself some evidence of Ellis doing something very dirty, and something that has the potential to lower is reputation to a point far below where it currently is (which is probably still low, despite his fame and fortune). They just have to find a way to convince a big fish to bite.
2. Execution of said plan – This is where the bait is thrown into the ocean. Don Cheadle and Kristen bell’s characters do what they do best, and it seems to be working … with an emphasis on “seems.” They have a chance to destroy Gage Motors here, or at least put enough pressure on Ellis to get more than what they asked for. The thing to remember here, though, is that he may have a way to fire back, as well.
