‘The Amazing Race 26’ episode 4 preview: Hayley vs. Blair; Jelani vs. Jenny

So far, the Blind Date twist on “The Amazing Race 26” is exactly what we thought it would be. At first, the dating couples would get along swimmingly, mostly because they were new to one another, and you often want to be on your best behavior when you first meet someone.

Then, over time some problems start to come out. This is going to happen many times over on next week’s episode in Bangkok, Thailand. First and foremost, it appears as though Hayley & Blair are going to continue to have one argument after another, and we get the sense that these two are having a very hard time functioning at the moment. It may only take another argument or two for them to be so far beyond repair that they won’t even be able to race.

Meanwhile, this episode is also going to feature Jelani & Jenny in what is their first real argument that we’ve seen from them. While their relationship has not necessarily been romantic by any means, they have at least worked well together so far in ensuring that they stay competitive, and at the front of the pack. We expect to see that continue moving forward. The only teams that may have a real shot at this now romantically are Jeff & Jackie and Laura & Tyler, but even with them, it seems like a long shot.

Right now, it feels like the dating couples who have been together for years are going to finally start to have an advantage. While Harley & Jonathan are going to have to complete a Speed Bump, that shouldn’t be too big of a problem if they can keep the peace between each other, which some other teams are failing at.
