‘Hart of Dixie’ season 4, episode 8 preview: Lemon and Lavon’s big move; Brick’s birthday
Tonight, “Hart of Dixie” had a birthday celebration … sort of. It just took a long time to come to pass.
The big story of “61 Candles” revolved around Brick, who wanted to have a great birthday and expected most of the town to be there for him. Unfortunately, that did not quite happen … at all. Instead, they were all busy on various other things, including splitting up chores for some prominent members of the community. Brick was forced to don a clown suit at one point. Meanwhile, at another point he was taken on a fishing trip by Lavon and Wade, but that was really just so Lavon could tell him about his intentions for Lemon. These two finally got together tonight, and set aside many of the problems that they’ve had.
This episode was for the most part fun, and it also showed off some great George / AnnaBeth moments in the process. These two are getting closer, and George no longer has to worry about trying to please his parents anymore after a heartfelt conversation. This sets the stage for him to have some exciting opportunities over the course of the next two episodes.
Of course, we do wish we had a little more time for everything, given that we’re missing out on big chunks of Zoe’s pregnancy. However, this is the nature of having 10 episodes and ten episodes only. We’re not going to get everything we want out of the final season; that is just the reality of the situation at the moment, and we just have to deal with that. Grade: B.

I am loving this season and I don’t miss things we aren’t seeing with Zoe’s pregnancy. I would rather have 10 amazing episodes like this season has been over 22 of drawn out pregnancy just so we can see her complain about her feet being swollen for an episode. While that may lead to cute moments, I am loving these 10 eps. Yes, I would like to see Wade be more “attentive” of her bump but Rachel was pregnant in real life and may not have been all that comfortable with Wade feeling the baby kick etc. I think this episode was one of the best!
