‘Blue Bloods’ season 5, episode 17 preview: Danny learns about Erin’s tricky situation

We had a week off last week on “Blue Bloods,” but come Friday night, the show will return with “Occupational Hazards,” and yet another case that will prove itself to be extremely tricky regarding Danny and Erin.

These two don’t often work together directly, but may be forced to in some twisted way now. Why is that? It’s because this case starts up with the shocking news that Erin’s been repeatedly harassed, and even had her place broken into. Feeling distressed, she decided to dial up 911 about it … and then did not bother to really say much of another to her brother. We certainly don’t sign off on this, since it put him in all sorts of trouble.

One of the biggest things that we are interested in seeing over the course of this entire episode is whether or not Danny ends up going completely over the edge because of who he is trying to protect here, provided that he decides he wants to jump head-first into figuring out who is doing terrible things to Erin. This is a guy who has shown his temper many other times in his past, and he has even done so to people who have done far less to him. Who knows what sort of actions he is going to pull off here?

Ultimately, we anticipate this being a very interesting episode, and one that shows us more about characters handle various crises … though they really should be pretty good at them by now, given how much experience they have overall. Stay tuned for a full review tomorrow!
