‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5, episode 18 preview: Why is Chin getting arrested?

Hawaii -Friday night’s new episode of “Hawaii Five-0” is going to waste zero time at all flipping the drama switch. After all, we have the latest sneak peek to prove it.

In the sneak peek below, you can see Chin getting arrested for what are supposedly a series of “crimes.” Are we surprised by this? When it comes to the character, sure. However, at the same time this is something that we have come to expect from most crime shows, who love to do the whole storyline revolving around a character getting arrested. This allows for a really great opportunity to show off some great tension, and to make viewers wonder whether or not they could be losing having an important character on the outside.

One thing to note here right away is that Chin is not going to be the only character who we happen to see during this episode. There’s going to be at least one more person behind bars!

When it comes to rooting for characters, we obviously don’t want to see anything bad happen to Chin. At the same time, it is also fairly hard to argue that there would be something intriguing out of throwing characters into a completely new environment, and then seeing at the end of the day what happens as a result of it. Therefore, there could be some narrative value in keeping people behind bars … if that is even in consideration.
