‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8, episode 17 preview: The latest on Howard and Raj

When Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” picks up, we are going to see Howard Wolowitz a little bit more in his element: Specifically, sitting around at home while his wife does the majority of the heavy lifting.

We are speaking here specifically in the context of tax season, as you see Bernadette working on his taxes in the background of the scene while he opts for a very different activity: Video games. Also, he apparently seems to be including Lego as some sort of business expense. Everything is awesome! Anyway, good luck with that, Howard.

We don’t really think that this entire scene is really meant to be some sort of expose into how Howard and Bernadette act while approaching April 15 in the first place. Instead, we view it a little bit more as a scene showing off more of what is going on with Raj when he is alone at Emily’s place. This seems to be an introduction to what could be very problematic to his relationship with his new girlfriend, especially if he decides to start going through some of her things.

Is curiosity natural for someone like Raj? Sure, given that he is a relatively insecure guy with a short relationship history. It is only human that he is going to think that there will be a reason for things to start slowly falling apart. However, what he has to realize is that sometimes, everything really is okay, and playing it cool is the best course of action. So long as he does that, he can be very much happy in the end.
