NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 3 spoilers: Zachary Quinto signs up for guest role

Hannibal -Great news for the upcoming third season of “Hannibal“: Zachary Quinto is on board!

The prolific actor, who has been everywhere from “The Slap” to “Girls” in recent weeks, will (per Entertainment Weekly) be playing a patient of Bedelia at some point during the NBC show’s third season. Gillian Anderson was recently promoted to series regular. Thanks to his roles on “American Horror Story: Asylum” and also “Heroes,” we definitely know already that Quinto has a real knack for playing psychopaths. It is for that reason we hope that this is a very different sort of role than anything he played on either one of those shows. Quinto himself has expressed a fear of going back and doing the sort of thing that he’s arleady known for, which is why he professed no real interest in returning for “Heroes: Reborn” on NBC later this year.

“Hannibal” has spent much of the past several months in production, but the network has taken a long span of time in figuring out when it will return. It appears now that summer is the target date for Hugh Dancy and company, and while we hate the wait, we love that it will have less competition than it would otherwise. Hopefully, this is going to help some realize that this is one of the best shows that is out there right now, and it is worth every second of your time. Also, the show probably needs a few more viewers to ensure that it will continue to tell the unique story that it has constructed.

Hopefully, we are going to have some other updates related to the show soon, but for the time being, head over here to get some other casting news for season 3!
