‘Chicago Fire’ season 3, episode 18 preview: Taylor Kinney’s Severide looks at his past

Chicago Fire -Tonight’s “Chicago Fire” brought us one of the more emotional episodes of the the entire season. Mouch had to face the truth about having a son he never knew, Chief Pridgen waged chaos, and basically did everything within his power in order to destroy Casey. He even tried to use Welch and his disdain for him in order to ensure that it happened. It was a very different side of the firehouse than what we’re used to.

Ultimately, that’s one of the reasons why we are so happy that Chief Boden seems to be on his way back. Next week’s episode will be a big one for him, and also for Severide as we see more of his past in the form of Scott Rice, a man who he knows from his childhood. This is an arc that could continue for some time, so don’t expect it to be resolved anytime soon.

For some further scoop, just take a look at the official synopsis below:

“Lt. Severide (Taylor Kinney) lobbies Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) for a favor for Scott Rice (guest star Warren Christie), an old friend needing a second chance with the CFD, but Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Otis (Yuri Sardarov) have their doubts. Elsewhere, Mills (Charlie Barnett) works to regain his active squad status while Brett (Kara Killmer) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) decide they need a big night out.”

Will Dawson really start to enjoy herself, and get her mind off of Casey? Maybe for now, but we still firmly believe that this two are most likely going to be endgame for each other.
